What career path would you best suit you, based on your personality, skills and interest? We looked and found these links to share that have free, online tests and we hope you find them useful.
This career test on 123test.com is free and fairly quick, 15 pages of 4 pictures and you choose the example you like most and the example you like least from each page. It asks a few questions at the end (age, gender, education level) then it uses Holland codes to give you a summary ranking your answers in six categories: Investigative, Realistic, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional. Based on those results it will list occupations that may fit your preferences. This website also has IQ tests, personality tests, and a work values test.
Another site with free online tests is from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. This link to a post from IPFW has three aptitude assessments suggested by their advisors, along with some other suggestions for choosing a major in college.
The last link we are sharing is this link for the Top 10 Ways to Find Your Career Path on lifehacker.com. It starts by asking what energizes and excites you, what are you good at, has a tool for matching self-reported skills and interest to occupations, suggests internship and finding a mentor, checking out unconventional careers, asking contacts, using the G+P+V formula, making a career plan (useful for changing careers) and finally seeing your career path as stepping stones instead of a linear path. For each suggestion there are links and a lot of information is available. They are definitely worth checking out if you would like to explore different options.
