Washington, DC Four-Day Program

Our fast-paced, four-day high school program is a great option for students looking for a valuable academic experience in DC that fits their busy schedules.

Take part in this unforgettable adventure!

Close Up’s four-day Washington, DC, High School Program is a one-of-a-kind student travel experience! During this 4-day/3-night program, students will participate in study visits to some of our country’s most well-known destinations and gain skills to become more actively engaged citizens. On Close Up, students have the opportunity to:

  • Gain inside access and discuss current issues with political experts and policymakers;
  • Discover the largest library in the world, the Library of Congress, and view the symbolic art and architecture;
  • Debate the most pressing issues facing our nation in a Mock Congress; and
  • Explore Capitol Hill and witness a live Congressional Committee Hearing to see how laws and policies are formed.*

Participation in a Close Up program requires parent or guardian approval for any participants under 18 years of age.
