Live and learn in the nation’s capital!
Our 4-day/3-night Washington, DC Middle School Program is more than just a tour of DC’s famous monuments and memorials. Students examine the people, events, and debates surrounding enduring questions that have shaped our nation’s form of government. Guided by our highly-trained instructors, students have the opportunity to:
- Discuss the historic events that have shaped our nation through visits to DC’s must-see sites;
- Engage with peers to debate the most pressing issues facing our nation in an exciting, hands-on Mock Congress;
- Discover Capitol Hill and encounter our legislative process first-hand by visiting the congressional galleries;
- Experience the world-renowned Smithsonian museums where our country’s history, art, and culture come alive; and
- Make lifelong friendships as they exchange ideas with students from around the country!
Participation in a Close Up program requires parent or guardian approval for any participants under 18 years of age.
