Discover American culture and history with memorable study visits to these must-see destinations! During this 7-day/6-night program, students get a first-hand look at how business can shape politics. On Close Up’s middle school trips to New York City and Washington, DC, students have the opportunity to:
- Discuss the historic events that have shaped our nation through visits to DC’s must-see sites;
- Engage with peers to debate the most pressing issues facing our nation in an exciting, hands-on Mock Congress;
- Walk the Brooklyn Bridge and take in the breathtaking views of New York City from this iconic bridge;
- Explore the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and discover why it’s become the universal symbol of freedom and democracy;
- Visit iconic landmarks such as Strawberry Fields, Imagine Circle, and Belvedere Castle in Central Park;
- Get a one-of-a-kind view from “Top of the Rock” located on the 70th floor of Rockefeller Center; and
- See New York City sparkle by night before enjoying a Broadway show in Times Square!
Participation in a Close Up program requires parent or guardian approval for any participants under 18 years of age.
